I was just wondering what size trolling motor batteries should be in a Ranger 618VS, currently have size 27, but I think it should have size 31, is that right?

27's are good, put 31's in if you have the room and want them.

Anybody with a 618vs would be kind enough to tell me what size batteries they are running for their trolling motor?
The boats in storage so i can't get to it for a couple of weeks, but i want to get the batteries before the boat comes home, so I can't see if 31's will fit.

i have 27bs...like shaley said its up to u!! Get what fits in the tray! If you put in unbelievable amounts of time on the water get the optima batteries. I fish a lot and I have no problems with 27b's.

Hey Andy
Take a dremel and cut a little groove out....makes removing and installing battery's much easer on the 618

I have 29's in my 618 but 31's would fit no problem
