| Hello boys from the basement,
I've been making handcrafted muskie lures for about ten years now, you may have seen some of my work on ebay "RAZOR 10" muskie lure. I believe I've mastered almost all steps in making these lures, learning the hard way by trail and error - wish I would have found a site like this one years ago.
One step I would like to improve on is the line tie. I hand drill a 1/16" hole then counter sink, epoxy a .92" 1 1/2" long eyescrew in then fill the counter sink in with glue. This has worked fine for years, never had an eyescrew pull out - the problem is by hand drilling it's hard to make the hole perfectly straight - My question for you boys is what options or techinques are you guys using for line ties?
I'm going to try attaching a pic, hope it works
any info would be greatly appreciated
thanks Kelly |

Location: Detroit River | A drill press with a drill press vise will solve your problem. Harbor Freight has some cheap ones if you don't plan on using it for high production otherwise go with a better brand name.

Location: KY | Also use a center drill bit first. The small bit will walk and follow the grain if you do not start with the center drill.
