Muskie Fishing -> Fishing Reports and Destinations -> What's the NE Metro Pattern???

I've caught mid 30's fish on 3 out of my last 4 trips (NE Metro lakes) but can't seem to find any pattern at all - one was on a crankbait on a deep weed edge, was was on a bucktail in shallow weeds and one was on topwater over a mid-lake hump. Other than those in the boat only 1 other follow.

Sept can be tough to pattern but this seems really weird.

Edited 9/19:
Another today - about 40" - topraider along bullrushes - only fish I saw - a bit bigger but still no pattern.

MN Steve,
We have been pounding the e. metro area hard concentrating on the deep clear lake with very limited success. Between six muskie nuts we have boated one over 40" for the whole year, and haven't really been seeing any quality either. A drastic change from last year!!! Had a shallow weed pattern that put 4 in the boat in two outings, but the biggest was only 36" and that pattern has now dried up. Have tried deep and suspended too, but no luck! Where the hell are they?

If we're talking about the same lake, then yeah - I agree it's really been tough this year, but maybe (??) things are looking up, got a 31, 33 and 40 Sat AM - 2 on Topraiders, all out off the edges or over the deep milfoil. Also got a 40 on a different lake on a Topraider, but shallow - so the topwater bite is heating up, but locations are still hard to pinpoint.

I'm convinced that the deep clear lake sucks. In my last four outings, between 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, I've raised one fish. This fish came off a deep weed line chasing after a Mag Dawg. Unfortunately she changed her mind at the boat and decided not to eat. I've been trying pretty much everything, shallow, deep, bucks, jerks, cranks, topwaters and trolling the deeper weed lines but nothing's moving. Largest to date on the dead sea is a 39"

I hit the swamp this evening, it seems to be clearing up a bit. I found some nice green cabbage and boated a 37" pike and a 36" inch skee within 5 minutes of each other. It was the most action I've had on the metro since mid June.
