September is notoriously tuff for me. It's getting really hard to put a fish in the boat lately. What's everybody's worst month for musky fishing in their neck of the woods?[:knockout:]

September has always been good to me. Heck I was batting 75% last september on the algae pit! This one has been 100% so far and 3 fish has been the worste day. Matt, you know where I fish, why not a change of pace for you?[;)]

Well if lake X is doing that well for Matt, I guess a change of plans is in order for this weekend. Move over Todd, I'll be sharing your water with you Saturday. Or is this just a tactic for Matt to keep productive water to himself? [:p]

I really like this time of the year. I especially like the pre-turnover temp cool down, and the shallow bite and deep edge bite provided. VARIETY!!

Saturday Slamr and I boated three, two while fishing a small Rhinelander area lake together, and one when he went back to his lake further north while I went to the Hodag check-in. We got two in very shallow water and lillypads on medium spinnerbaits. He got his on a 10" Jake later!

The Hodag totals for Saturday were impressive, with 40 fish registered, or 20% of the field. The Minnesota Muskie event was as well, with 12 registered Saturday alone. That was about 19% of the field as a ratio.

The best thing about September is the fact that October follows!!
