Do you guys attach split rings to most of your baits? I see some come like this, some don't. Do's and don'ts on certain baits? Seems like it would give baits more action, but is there potential to mess some up?

Thanks.

It also depends on your leader if you use a snap. When using a snap and a very flexible leader you could get to much action and start hanging up on the front hook.
