Location: Southern Ontario, Detroit River and Lake StClair | This event is being held on August 12th-14th 2011.
Walt was a Lake St.Clair charter Captain, muskie fisherman and mentor who passed away in the Jan 2004 crash of Georgian Express Flight 126 into Lake Erie. This tournament has been held since then in his memory. This year it was handed over by the individual who had been running it to group of us in hopes as group we can put more time into it and build it then he could put into it on his own.
Entry is $250 per team/boat. With a 40 boat field (as in previous years) payouts will be approx $10,000 in cash prizes. It pays 1st-50%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-20%. We are hoping to build this from its regular 40+/- boat entry into a 60+ boat tourney. Minimum size to enter a fish tentatively is set at 52". You may cast or troll.
We are also looking for donations from some of our bait making friends to be raffled off to help cover the tournament expenses.
