I bought an old Wiley of ebay and I was looking it over and gave the rear hook a good tug and the screw in eyelet pulled right out. Anyone have a good reliable fix for this??? Needs to be something that I don't have to think twice about everytime I run this lure.

Thanks!

Order some 2" eye screws and fill the hole with JB weld. Wait for the jb weld to set up. drill a 1/16 hole for pilot. Then screw the 2" eye into the lure this will give you a half inch more bite in to the wood. Should fix it.

You can also drill it over-sized, like maybe 1/4" bit, fill it entirely with epoxy, then install new screw into the epoxy. The strongest way though would probably be to get a longer screw.
