Which handle did you put on your Winch? TE 400 or the Trinidad 14? Do they both fit? If so, what's the difference?

I believe they are the same... I put a handle that was on my TE 400 but I believe that is the Trini 14 power handle....the nice counter balanced one.....

they're not the same...the shape/depth of the bar is slightly different...you need to mill out a bit of the Trinidad handle to fit it on the Calcutta properly. butttt the hole is the same size and shape so they'd both fit on the same reels. you might run into the same issue though, needing to mill out the Trinidad handle to get it to fit onto the bar properly with enough threads to keep it secure.

you sure Mike? I was told the Trini 14 handle and the power handle that fits the TEs are the same...maybe not?! in any case, I put the handle I had on a TE 400 on to the Winch and would never go back to the stock "power handle" abu provides...which isn't really a power handle at all....

i'm pretty sure...i bought a spare TN handle for my TE and it would fit but not really. the TN handle is slightly thicker than the TE handle, so it covers up more of the bar which means there are less threads exposed for the handle nut to grab. it ends up stripping the threads and falling off and you lose your handle in the drink. happened twice to me before i got one milled out a bit to allow more threads to go into the nut. Dave's Reel Repair does this enough that he built a jig for the handles to go into when milling them.
