I want to say thanks to Pat Neu and his crew. I attended the N.P.A.A. conference for the first time this year and it was awesome to be part of the record breaking attendance. I had a chance to meet a lot of you that I have insured and it was great to put a face with a name. I assure you that I will not miss it in the future. What the N.P.A.A. is doing for all the kids is great. I encourage all of you to get involved. They are the future of fishing and it is a very rewarding feeling to know you have touched their lives. I encourage of the Tournament anglers and Guides in the Muskie world to join the National Professional Anglers Association, it's a great organization, and as an additional benefit to everyone you can help get a young person into fishing! I really appreciate having the opportunity to speak in front of all the members and educate them on marine insurance. I'm already looking forward to next year. I will see a lot of you at the M.W.C. and A.I.M tournaments, and some of the F.L.W. tournaments next year. I wish you all a great fishing season in 2011. Remember, it is all about growing the sport. Posts: 81 | Bob, I agree with everything you stated. I also attended for the first time and I can say that I am excited about being part of a first class organization. NPAA being a multi species organization, is the organization that all tournament anglers, guides and pro staff needs to to be a part of. They are working hard to insure that we have quality fisheries for the future and they keep an eye open to insure that we are not regulated out of the sport that we have such a passion for. The benefits of membership totally out weight the cost of membership and I encourage all of you to join today. Dewey Stewart NPAA Member LiftMaster Pro

Posts: 101 Location: Liberty, IN (OKI Tri-State) | Sounds as if things may be finally going in a multi-species direction but I have got to say that I heard that for more than awhile when I was a member. Touring Pro Member of the PMTT for several seasons, a stint as Tournament Media Dir. as well as proudly serving a couple of years as Executive Board Member of Muskies Inc. and at every turn when trying to cross-promote or highlight, what I still believe to be a potentially strong & unifying organized voice for many avid/pro anglers, any related Musky events, got encouraging banter... but little if any support. Lots going on with the Walleye folks at the time... but not so much with multi-species interests and seemingly even less with musky specific efforts. These are only my observations and they are dated by a few years. Heck, I have been away from things for a year or so as we here at home helped ease our Mom in her last few months, God Rest Her, and have not been as keen on current efforts so do not want any to take this as anything even remotely negative ; it just was not where things were at the time.... and is meant in more of a positive affirmation of my general support for the great direction they appear to be heading in. Who knows, may be time to get back on board and recommit to pursuing positive improvements in both opportunities and professional relationships for ALL aspiring professional anglers, regardless their niche, as we climb out of this economic down cycle. I know it sure is harder to change things sitting on the sidelines anyhow, and thank you all for your continued efforts on all our behalves. Congrats on your successful record-breaking Conference and the best of luck to you all going forward. If I re-enter Tourney Angling I will likely re-up and would suggest like-minded others consider affiliation as well. Lots of good work still yet to be accomplished..... Thanks, Bob

' The NPAA has literally rocketed forward over the last couple years under Pat, Cody, John, and the Board's direction. I can assure you the organization will represent the Muskie tournament angler and Muskie Guide professional in every aspect of the sport. At the Conference, an announcement was made that I will be working as Muskie coordinator and recruitment Director working in close concert with NPAA Member Dewey Stewart to see the Sport represented and ensure it's growth. There have been MAJOR changes in the Association since Pat took over. I suggest you talk with him about the NPAA's future as you re-up your membership.

Thanks for the info Steve, it means a lot to me coming from you and I will indeed look into reassociating myself with the NPAA as I get back into the fray. I always felt there was a great deal of potential upside in being part of an organization such as this. Now, hearing of your future involvement and the commitment being shown to future growth and ideals.... I am ready to check out the new NPAA. Sincerely, Bob Osborne
