Phil - 12/18/2010 10:23 AM

All new plastic ACE Sweet Shad, Fat Flipper and Midget Fat Flipper all on show for the first time at the Chicago Show, booth #12. Made in the by the Sledgehammer guys in Chicago, totally manufactured in the USA. Bodies by Sledgehammer, Hooks by Eagle Claw, Split rings from Worth, even the box they come is made in the USA! We will have lots of colors plus some one offs, can't miss us as the guys from Sweden are sharing, Kjelle 'Stalker' Lundberg and PA Hogberg.
The prototypes have already caught Baltic Pike, European Zander and Trahira (not sure of spelling but, the picture looked like a 20lb Piranha!) from French Guyana

Phils baits don't get enough recognition! He makes some great baits that catch fish! His gliders have put quite a few fish in my boat! Phil is a great guy as well! He is my neighbor every year at the Butler PA fishing show! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I've seen "possible" new colors from three different sources now and they all look cool, so I'll be looking to see what shows up.

Tackle Industries will have rods and lures at the Chicago Show, WI and MN shows this year in the Top Predator Booth. Rods will be at the $110 special too. Tom also wanted us to send him some of our SuperD lures that are in the wrong packaging (poly bags) and they will be running specials on those too. Good chance to get a great swimbait with the coil harness in it for less. Should be about 50% less than the competition Magnum and Regular swimbaits. Good deal and I will be sending him my best colors in those too. They will also have my others lures too.

Kevin Cochran will also have the telescopic rods in his booth at the Chicago and MN musky shows. He will also have them available at his place in Bemidji, MN if anyone wants to see them.

I know Steve will be at the Michigan show as his booth will be next to mine. I am sure he will have them, if there is something specific send him an email to make sure he brings it. Same for my stuff if interested, let us know what you want.

Musky tackle Online has the hurricane for sale now. I, for one, (probably) won't buy one because of the price. I think lures are way over priced.

The Hurricane looks pretty cool, but I agree about the price - sticker shock

Its just a few more blades and a little extra wire. How much more could that really cost?

I bet the hook spreader will be discussed a little....or a lot. Looks interesting.

Looking at the Hurricane off the top of my head i see, extra blades that are not cheap, the wire is also heavier. I think there is an extra tie of flash on there, plus a quality swivel, extra clevises, more lead/weight. The one big factor to consider as well is that there looks to be alot more labor involved in one of these than a standard bucktail or spinnerbait. I dont see myself running out and buying every color, but I will buy one to try out. Heck if it makes the difference in putting a big fish in the boat vs coming home skunked it becomes priceless! How much is a sucker these days that is worth one fish (maybe)?

I took a look at the Hurricane and its price and was thought it was a little higher than what I expected. You always hear lures are tools. There are ones you use all the time and then ones you leave in the box. If you plan on using it a lot then its worth it. If not then probably not worth the cash.

I know I would use this lure a lot but I wonder how well it holds up after a fish chomps on it. A big fish would be worth the price.

Add another person that is going to wait in line for a Trueglide "Rumor". I threw one at the Frank Schneider Tourney - I think it was "Red Bridge's"(see previous post).

That bait moves! Guy that let me try it caught a 51" in the tournament with it-so you know it works.

Joe makes great baits, just hope he doesn't sell out too fast this year, I need one(hint, hint Joe- make more).

I am also gonna pick up a Typhoon. Cool enough looking to get my attention.

The new supernatural trolling baits will be at the Chicago show, partnering with the True Glide booth. I put 7 in the boat in November, 2 52's. Fat Perch did most of the damage.

I will have a bunch of really cool and some unique custom colors at the show in all sizes and styles.

Also I will have my own soft plastic glue for repairing baits, the stuff that melts the plastic. I will make a video on how to use it over the next couple of days and post it on Muskie First video section.

And I could not let John from Stealth Tackle be the only one with boat towels!

Stop by and see me, by the entrance to the seminar hall.

I finally crawled out of the bait cave for a minute. Chicago will be the release of my new Lee Lures "MINI-CHOPPER", which is obviously a smaller version of my regular "Water Chopper". This bait will have all the "bark" of the original, in a bite size! I will only have eighty of them available for this show. 20 each of four colors (black holo glitter, firetiger muskie, black/orange flame, and loon) No plans to make more as of now.

I will also have a few new colors in my other lure styles as well. Will try to post when I take a few pics.

See ya there!

Thanks for your interest! They will be same as the regular sized Choppers at $30. If anyone is curious the hooks on it are size 3/0 for comparison. They are 4/0 on the regular sized Choppers. Hooking percentage was terrific on this bait!
