I really like this lure, but even with a ball bearing leader I am still getting line twist. does anyone else have this problem, or a cure for it? thanks

Do you have line twist issues with any other lures? I use their Top Walkers quite a bit and have never had any line twist.

I have as well. Unfortunately, it got so annoying that I don't use the bait anymore. Didn't have the problem with an older model, however.

Excellent bait. Wish it didn't cause line twist though...

I have half a dozen of them. No problems for me. Might be a little tight in the hole for the spinning prop. Could be a little sludge or weed debris in the tube you know what I mean? I like the ACE Scooter better as they are louder . The top walker is a great hooking top water due to the twin buck tail hooks. I love em. Kingfisher

At the Chicago Musky show, I spoke with a younger guy manning their booth, and brought this up, he basically told me it was something you just have to live with if you throw the bait. Now that i know not everyone has this problem, I'll give another one a try and maybe use ball bearings on both ends of the leader.

I had same problem. I put a split ring with a good quality ball bearing swivel at the top of all of them. Problem solved. Very good bait I also put bigger hooks on it. It helps add a little more weight for better casting and better hook ups.
Good luck

Jeff, Are you saying you just put a split ring on the eyelet of the bait? or something else?
I love the Top Walker, but don't use it much anymore because of the line twist.

Grass, Put the split ring on the bait then put on a good ballbearing swivel then put your snap on the top of swivel. Leave the split ring and swivel on the bait so it is always there. It will eliminate all problems.
