I am going to be purchasing a rod/reel combo for my 7 y/o boy for the coming season. He is small for his age and struggles physically with standard sized gear. I came across a reel made by Daiwa in the Cabela's catalog. Looking at this reel (strikeforce) you can see the gear housing seems to reflect the beefed-up gear housing found in the Toro series by Abu. Yes, yes, I realize you get what you pay for and I do not have the budget for a high-grade down size reel. This reel retails at 49$ and I'm wondering if anyone would know what specific physical/mechanical differences (line capacity?) would eliminate this reel as a reasonable choice for my little guy.
