Love the SuperDs this year! Just got back from Canada and got over 20 musky and pike boated on one SuperD (Regular #4 Gold Walleye) and its still good to fish. Got to say these are some of the most durable swimbaits I have ever fished. Can't wait for your tubes to come out Tackle Industries! What sizes will you have in the Tubes and when?

John,

My 14" Tubby Tubes will be ready to go in 6 weeks. 21 tasty colors to start with and if they go well I will take it up to 42 colors. In 2011 I will have a 10" model (Tubby Jr) as well. Cool thing about them is they have an adjustable weight harness in them. They have two weight areas and both are shaped like an iron cross. You can clip off weight to make them more shallow and glide more balanced or nose or tail down. They also have a nose treble hook. Not so far up that it will tag on your leader but up far enough to get those nose strikes hooked up. The twin reaper tails also screw on and off so you can mix and match tail colors OR you can just remove the tails and the trailer hook and have a shorter tube. All tempered stainless steel rings on these too so you will not have to change out hooks and rings. Last tid bit about these is that 100% of the profits from the 14" and 10" will all be donated to USA Veterans and Children's charities. Bass Pro has already put orders in for both sizes so if you are close to a store you will see them soon. I am sure a lot of other retailers will pick them up.
Thanks
James

PS-Time to let a few pictures out. Here are my color prototypes and a picture of the harness out of a Tubby Tube next to a see through Tubby Tube.

I find it odd how so many lures fall into the category of "swimbaits". Consider the difference between a bulldawg and a hard swimbait like a BBZ.........they are nothing alike and yet both called swimbaits. It's weird.

Here is one I have been building on a limited basis.

James,
If you make your tubes as good as you make your SuperDs and price them as well as you have all of your other tackle these will be a huge hit. Keep up the good work! I only live in Des Moines so I will have to try and make it down to your place once you have them ready and pick up some tackle. email sent for you introducing myself. I will need one of those new telescopic rods too. What a concept you have, quality, low prices and customer service!!! Many in the tackle world do a great job but I think a few others in the tackle industry need to watch and learn Keep it up and you will keep getting my musky money!!!

Thanks guys! Tubes should be ready to ship in late September I hope. Had an issue with packaging materials and a mold but that is fixed now. Also had an issue with the cable breaking with only 100lbs on it. Now its tested to 200lbs+ in weight and it does not break. For that harness, you can also use a drill to take pilot holes out of the lead to shed weight off of it. Tried that over the weekend and it was real easy to fine tune the center of gravity and also get the lure to act as you want it to. Have another idea for an actual weight system for a harness but the tooling is complicated but once it is made it would be real nice. Just need to figure out how to tool it and manufacture it correctly. Can't wait to see how these perform in the fall for some big musky and pike!!

James,
How's the schedule looking on the Tubbys? I'm a bit anxious to try one out.

Another vote for SuperDs. Also got a few of the new double tailed Twisted Tullibee and those are nice too.
