If yer in a boat all day an need these mats, hey go for it, but broom ball sneeks really do rock.....so do me hobnail harkeyboots but they trip me up from time to time but come in handy with unrullly clients an bars for lunch.

| I'm not concerned with the anti-fatigue aspect of the mat. I'm looking for an inexpensive way to eliminate the sound and damage to equipment when in an aluminum boat. I thought an anti-fatigue mat would do a pretty good job with the added bonus of possibly being comfortable. |

| OK, I hated to chime in here, but being in the mat business for the last 21 years I figured I would. There are tons of mats out there that will do many things.
There's anit-fatigue mats, theres mats with holes that have flow through capabilities, theres mats with nylon on them to absorb water, theres even oil absorbant matting.
My question is if all you want is sound and equiment protection why not just buy a carpet remnant??? If you want an anti-fatigue then there are lots of options out there, just don't get an anti-fatigue mat confused with a flow through mat. Two very different applications. Flow through are designed to disperse water and prevent slips, anti-fatigue are designed to provide comfort when standing in one spot for a long time.
God I sound like a mat geek, wait a minute, I am a mat geek. |

| OR, with some boat companies you can order padded carpet installed when you order the boat. It's surprisingly inexpensive, doesn't clutter up the look of your boat, and works great. |

LMAO. This reminds me of a discussion that was had about how to keep the cork on your rod looking "pretty." Oh, wait, it wasn't just about keeping it looking nice, but guys were worried about the potential bacteria growth. Funny stuff, man...funny stuff! Perhaps mats make sense for the guide who's in his boat 12 hours a day 300 days a year, but the pills would work best for the rest of us. Either that or a shot of Crown! But I suppose the guy who's considering the mat will need a coke to wash that down. |

| For the record, i would like to give the late Shane Blahunka, credit for fishing w/ anti fatigue mats. he was the first person i saw have one in his boat. he made his. he used two types of pads and put them together to make a really nice "Musky Mat", of which i know he sold a few and were popular w/ his circle of friend. Thanks Shane O. Many 50's to you buddy.
(Shane might not have been the very person to use mat's when fishing, but he was the first i person that i noticed that introduced it to Musky Fishing). SHane was innovative. |

Yeah Pointer, and when you get a little older and wiser, but your knees and back hurt a little after 14 hours on the water, you're going to say "#*^@, that was a good idea." |

Or I'll take 4 advil and not whine about it. I have had constant back pain for 6 years now. I don't have full range of motion in either of my legs. No rubber mat is going to solve that problem. I just take some toughen up pills and carry on with life. |
