After 3 straight disappointing trips fishing in bright sun on the fabulous GRR, even
WITH a very good WI idiot caster on one of the trips, I have to say, those Green River muskies need a vacation from me, the bXXXXXXX!! No activity to match up to a very good 3 fish day before that.

They are now drawing the pool after keeping it up all of November. I would not advise a trip there currently, especially if you have to travel any distance. The draw pretty well sucks the fish right out of the lake, and it's going to really murk up the water for two reasons, aprox 4+" of rain just before the draw working on the clarity of the river, and the fact that since they are drawing so fast they are leaving a big silt wash on the banks that is going to further murk it up with any kind of wind or any type of hard rain. They are really drawing fast, over a foot a day at this time, so one problem may resolve inside a week, the other will resolve after a couple rains and windy days at winter pool. I have been disappointed with the fishing there this fall, but it has pretty well followed the weather coditions I have had the opportunity to fish in. Once the draw is finished, the water should pretty well stabilize unless we get continued runs of precipitation. The continuing turnover going on progressively through the shallows to the depths, ought to be completed this week also, and that usually helps the fishing once its over, but....the downside is that the cold weather down here, and the snowfall, are going to drop the temps below optimum for casting.

To quote the immortal Rosanne Rosannadana, "It's always somethin......."

Picture of the Last November Musky, a single sight and bite last Monday, and a famous Green River spot, known as "The Tire Hole". Don't tell Johnson I posted this one, it will upset him....
