I've got a 7'6" Heavy premiere that works real good. Another one that I like is the Musky innovations 7'6" Xtra Heavy. They both will handle bigger gliders and divers no problem. These are the only 2 I've tried.

How about a cheap gander rod XXH in 7'6" or less. thats what i use. I spend my bigger money on my bucktails and crank rods.

the 6'3" 1 to 5oz gander competitor graphite musky rod works great for gliders. i have had mine for 5 years and only payed $19.99 for it. never a issue with any of my gander rods. they still makes these and most gander stores still carry them. for $20 they would be worth a try.
