I always like to watch this forum and see the great stuff you guys are turning out. I like to play around every winter making a few baits myself. Nothing as nice as you guys but I get great ideas from here. Anyways, these are just about finished. I've just got to attach screw eyes on most of them and give them a couple more coats of e-tex. The cranks and the dive/rise bait are made of cedar and the hardhead copies : ) , glider, and topwater are maple. Some spray can and some airbrushing. I need to get some more colors... I'll be happy if half of them work right. All were float tested but I've had enough failures the past couple of winters. There is a wide variety of lip sizes, shapes, and lengths on the cranks. Some of them turned out pretty sh@*ty looking but overall pretty happy how they turned out.

Those are some seet looking lures. If you are a rookie you sure do not show it these lures. Very nice job.

If you are needing some help testing them out this season let me know as I am new to this and would love to try out your jerkbaits and and gliders.

I really have some interesting color combos going. Very nice

Thanks for sharing and as you create more art please continue to share them with us.

Good Jobs,Martin !!!
What kind of screw insert did you use to the replicas of the hardhead?
If you bougth ready-made them, where did you buy them?

Thanks guys. I used a drywall anchor to screw on the tail. Simply drill a 3/8 hole in the back of the bait and epoxy the anchor in. You just have to look for that type of drywall anchor at the hardware store, any one should have them. You can kind of see on the top one that I filed the tip of it down to a point which I will more than likely do to the other one as well.

I just want to say I don't own nor have ever fished a heardhead, I just took a wild guess at weighting and built these only because I have a few of the Kalins Big N grubs at home. All baits all for personal use only so don't jump on me for the attempts at a look alike.

The sherbert colored glider has a pearlized silver scale over it which almost looks white in the pic but is only really visible with the right angle. You know what I mean. There is the same color scales over the bluegill/perch patterns which you can hardly see in the pics.

I have never thrown a Hardhead myself but would be more than happy to throw one of those, They do look sweet. Very nice job!!
