It is the same, hardware stores or hobby stores. Seeing you are from Canada I believe the more popular choice is Nu Lustere 55 (spelling?) there. I think it is better than e tex lite. Envirotex also makes a few other products. http://www.eti-usa.com/

Depends on what you are trying to get out of the coating. I have never used nu- lustre but have been told by the guys that use it if you want it for impact it is better as in, is not as brittle as e tex. It might be clearer also but not sure, the stuff I use is twice the cost of e tex but you get what you pay for in most cases. If you are just getting into lure building cheaper e tex might be the way to go to get used to working with the stuff.

I bought a relatively small amount of e-tex from Menards and it has lasted me 3 years. Each bottle must be around 30-32oz. or so and for the 15-20 baits I make a year, it works out to be pretty cheap.

Can you say what you use if it's not e-tex?

I use Diamond II. For me, it's been way better than etex.

etex drys according to warmth in the man cave. .remember to make sure you seal the lures before prime. it really helps with bubbles when you clear coat with epoxies.
