| Does anybody know of a good net, and where I can buy one in MN or on a website. |

| Beckman, or Frabill. You can get them at Thorne Brothers, Reed's, Galyans, Mills Fleet farm. You can also check for these brands at Gander Mountain. Go for the treated bags.

| Thanks. Would you recomend a net or a cradle? |

| Try the many on line stores like Rollie and Helens, Thorne Bro's, Cabelas, etc.
Beckman is the preferred net. Frabill is another good one. I bought the Cabelas's one last year to save cash and it has worked great It was the Pro Landing series, "Big Fish". This net is like $40.00 versus $75-$100 on the Beckman.
This net is very similiar to the Regular Beckman with the exception that it is not as deep. I wish my net was deeper. Since I just started Muskie fishing last year, this has been a great investment. I will upgrade my net next year, and I'll get the Magnum Musky by Beckman or the Frabill Power Catch.
Good Luck and let me know if this helps!
My net will be for sale if you want to purchase!

| Thanks Tahoe. I will check those out, I need one by this weekend so I'll have to pass on buying yours. Lost Two fish because of the Cradle this year and think it's time to make the investment in a nice net.

| Mike....Cradles vs. nets...that could be a hot debate. I would never use a cradle for many reasons including: you can get hurt very easy, you can lose the fish a 100 ways from Sunday, its a two man job, and they are a pain in the butt to store. You won't regret a good net when you have a hawg on the end of your line by yourself in big water one day. Get a net with a coated bag and you shouldn't have to worry about harming the fish with a net. |

| Mike,
I just purchased a Frabill Powercatch net with the treated knotless bag from Rollie and Helens. I like the deep bag, which allows me to work on a fish in the water. The size of the net also fits nicely into most muskie boats. I have not had much experience with Beckmans. Which ever net you decide to go with make sure the bag is deep and treated.
Good Luck

| SSAngler,
Go with the net vs. the cradle, especially if you plan on fishing alone anytime. The net is much safer than the cradle on both you and the fish.
I use a Magnum Beckman Finsaver and I love it. It lets me work on the fish right in the water. I had a 47" in it this year and it looked like a 35" in the net. If the Magum is too big, you can get the pro model. I know a lot of people who love the pro model.
Good luck! |

| Hey SS angler, I have been running the Big Kahuna by Frabill for the last 2 season. If you have the room in your boat for one of them it is the premier landing net. All a fish has to do is hesitate beside the boat for a second, and you have it.
If your boat is a little smaller go with the Power Catch. The bags on these nets are incredible.
As far as nets vs cradles, I feel that the net is by far safer than a cradle. The last thing I want is a 25 lb fish coming towards my wrists with 3 number 5 trebles hanging out of its mouth. Plus the cradle is a 2 man operation. Good luck and God bless.
