Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How'd the muskies treat you this weekend? We worked three different lakes for two days and never saw a Muskie. One pike on a sucker, but a great weekend on the water anyhow.

Posts: 87 | On Saturday morning my wife and I took our boat out on Pewaukee Lake. It was not our maiden voyage, but it was our first time fishing out of the boat. We bought it just over a month ago. With light wind, sun shining and temperatures in the low 50s it was going to be a beautiful fall day regardless of whether or not we caught any fish. After just 30 minutes the clicker on a sucker line starts screaming. Without hesitation my wife removes the rod from the rod holder, tightens the drag and sets the hook. Minutes later and weak in the knees, she caught her first legal musky, a healthy 41 inch fish! I could not be more proud of her! What made the day fun was that we got to do a little side-by-side fishing with our friend Geoff and his wife. We look forward to doing it again soon. Posts: 243 | As part of our small Club outing, there were 2 fish boated---both on Saturday around 3 p.m. Mine was 40" and the other was 49.25". I also lost another one 15 minutes earlier that was slightly smaller than the 40". Didn't see anything on the calendar, but there was definitely a bite window at that time because I had gone over those fish twice before that and had seen them on the graph.

Posts: 906 Location: Canada | I got another little 38"er and my fishing partner buddy popped a little one too. Lots of action as we both missed another each and had follows from another dozen fish. Attachments ---------------- DSCF1139.2 [320x200].jpg (13KB - 115 downloads)

Posts: 40 | went to hayward area for the weekend. Boat partner had one get off on saturday on swimin joe. On Sunday, we went 4 for 4 on suckers 38,37,34,32. nothing on casting lures all before noon. first 4 fish day. best part was last fish was as we were getting ready to leave. i said last cast and casted. went to pull up sucker and my partner casted again so i dropped sucker back down and see a musky about 6 feet down. dance sucker in front of musky and he keeps nipping as sucker tail every time i pull it away finally after about a minute he sucks it in. i hand the pole to my boat partner and say, your up!!! the look on his face as he watched all this was hillarious. HE has just started to musky fish and couldnt believe it.

My son and I fished with Paul Pollack on Vermilion Friday and Saturday. I boated a 42, 44 and 45 on Mag Dawgs and a Pounder. Dan had a giant hit at boatside but only left a large rip at the head of the pounder right in front of the first hook. We both saw the whole thing as the fish exploded out of nowhere. One other hit with no hooks. Awesome, time. Can't wait to get back. Jeff

Posts: 1287 Location: WI | Trolled a clear cisco lake in the Hayward area on friday. Started it off by not having my plug in..heheh. Didn't graph anything anywhere, and had no action other than catching what I think was a crayfish trap on a depth raider. Maybe the fish were higher up in the water column? Water temps were 45*. Sunday hit my home waters and stuck a 39.25" on a Jake. Tough conditions but persistance paid off. For a long time I couldn't buy a fish on a Jake so it was nice to finally get something to eat it. Water temps at home are 39-40* with muddy water from the last 2 weeks of wind and rain.

Posts: 633 | I took the day off yesterday, and went up to Deer Lake. Landed a nice 42.5, and had another one come check out the minnows I was dragging, but left after about 50 feet. I was in the boat by myself, so no good picture. Great day to be on the water.
