I'm looking to refine my trolling and I'm thinking of setting up 2 rods with line counter reels. I'm trying not to spend too much.

I am looking at Daiwa heartland glass rods 10'6". They are rated up to 30 lb line.

THis is the link to them:

They feel stout enough, and I like the length for running out rods.

Just looking for some opinions.

Any one out there running long rods (10' plus) as out rods to get a spread?

I use 10 Abu WOrkhorse Dipsey Diver rods for my out rods to spread them out. I've looked at a number of the 10" Dipsey rods out there and think they would all work pretty good for out rods.

I would agree with this. Have been using them for 2 seasons now with zero issues and many fish on them. Customer service is top notch

I have to agree with the Black River rod. A lot of bang for the buck on a top notch rod!
