I'm very new to the sport of musky fishing and i would like to find a guide in south eastern part of wisconsin who can teach me about muskies as well as maybe put me on some fish. The majority of my fishing is done on Pewaukee Lake, but i have tried silver lake as well. Any info or tips would be greatly appreciatted. Jim

Jason Smith, the Managing editor of MuskieFIRST; is a top notch SE Wisconsin Guide, and is a patient and careful instructor. You can email him from this site!![]

I would also have to say Jason Smith,as I was lucky enough to spend a day(today)in the boat with him.I consider him to be one of the BEST TEACHERS in the business!I have been doing this for a little while and he taught me things and really gets you to think about what you are doing.Patterns, baits, weather, attitude(fish&self),equipment, etc! If you want to really learn to be a good muskyman, get Jason! You will not be sorry and you as I will look forward to fishing with him again!Thanx Jason great time! Jeff
P.S-We also put 2 fish in the boat, and I smashed the boat into the trailer!Great day minimal damage []

Can't go wrong with Jason, I've had 2 of my clients fish with him and gave him great marks. First class boat, equipment and lake knowledge. Also another friend boated a fat 48 incher with him. He knows muskies and takes pride in teaching.

Jim,

If you are interested in hitting Silver Lake or the Fox Chain, shoot me a note. The Fox Chain is only about 10 minutes South of Silver and there is 6500 acres to fish. Silver is a good lake too, especially in the Fall.
