Location: Stevens Point, WI		Brian Swenson and I got out Thursday evening on an action lake, not really known for big fish, but we managed to put three in the Frabill, a 34 3/4, 38 and a 40. Lost a couple others on suckers, smaller fish I believe but won't complain with a 50% hook up ratio on this lake. Every once in awhile it's fun to smack a few fish around, even if the lake isn't known for big fish!

I love lakes like that--I have a couple I fish with large #'s of fish in the 34-40 inch range. Lots of fun and have caught as many as 7 in a day---Took my kids and wife to these lakes often so they could get their first fish and I also still use them today when I am in a slump and need to bend a rod.

I fish the Kawarthas a lot - maybe the best action lakes there are. Sometimes it's nice just to get out, relax and get a few decent ones.
