We got a new Suzuki 4-stroke a month ago. Here in a few weeks it will be time to winterize it. Any tips, issues or thoughts some of you guys have done.

Thanks!

I never did anything to my 2002 DF70 HP except use seafoam in the gas, change the oil, and gear lube, and try to leave as little gas in the tank during storage as possible. Recently reading through the manual though, I noticed they called for the plugs to be pulled, and the engine to be fogged? First time I have ever heard of that on a 4 stroke? But if that's what the manual says, I guess that's my plan for this year.

DF90 - I treat the tank with Suzuki fuel treatment and run some through the motor before topping off at year end. I fill the tank to minimize any air space. Change oil & gear lube. Pull the safety cord, then remove plugs and turn motor over a few times with the starter, replace plugs and good to go. Basically follow the instructions in the manual. Not a lick of trouble doing this method since 2004.

Just make sure the motor is completely down after you use it so no water is held inside. Put stabil in the gas every time you fuel up. That's all I have done with mine for 5 years and it runs like a champ. It sits out in some horrible cold some winters, near zero.
