Location: Athens, Ohio | Was looking at adding this to my arsenal, but never heard much about it? As good as the 8" Depthraider or shallowraider? Any pros or cons?
Thanks |

| I have both...they are by far very cool looking and have a great action, but you're going to need a stout reel to pull them and a stiff rod, they are hard to run on anything lighter. I was fishing them on a pounder rod with a saltist 40. Haven't fished them alot yet, so I don't know how well they catch fish, but they have the same action as the 8 inch, so I'm sure they would. Hopefully this helps. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | I read somewhere that the hooks are too big? Any truth to that? |

| I had trouble with the hooks hanging up on the back of the BF shallowraider. I went to smaller hooks and the problem went away, and I did not see any difference in the lure's action. |
