| You can still register for the George Wahl metro tourney this saturday. register at Thornes,Joes in St paul And Blue Ribbon bait in Oakdale
all proceeds go for stocking and rearing of fish by Twin Cities chapter of MI,,Awards ceremony after tourney with pork chop lunch at Thorne bros for all contestants with alot of bucket raffles with VERY nice prizes,,Canada trips,guide trips,tackle and a coveted River Birch tree that a local nursery will come out and plant,,if you dont catch a fish still come to thornes and try for a great prize and hear what the hot bite metro info is.

| 10 fish over 40" for 270 or so entrants...tough bite for sure. 54" first place and no one doubled up.

| 54 came from tonka,,,actually had about 175 people enter,,and most importantly everyone got to have 'seconds' at the pork chops,,talk is we may try to have it a week earlier next year if the dnr can promise us Tonka permit then the duck hunters can get in |

yes we want to but the rub may be that would put us in sept and tonka permits are much harder to get then Oct,,,and people like tonka especially in the fall,,,but were going to try next year |
