Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Got word this weekend that the Pounder rods are being shipped to my house this week!!! I have been fishing with mine since the spring...only rod I have actually thrown to be honest with you. This new rod is amazing...strong enough to BOMB pounders and other large baits, yet soft enough and fast enough tip to throw a small bucktail, twitch baits, topwaters, etc... As I have said many times, I am a ONE rod type of guy and when I designed this rod, I still wanted it to be a ONE ROD FITS ALL type of rod. From small baits to the biggest of rubber....this rod can and will handle it all. More info later on when exactally they will be ready... Same length, at 9 ft and same thick cork. These rods are also the lightest of the XH rods on the market. Less weight equals less fatigue. Just an all around killer rod. Also this rod is killer for double 10's and 13's. Strong enough back bone to really get those things smoking during the figure 8....yet soft enough tip to keep them hooked when they shake like a wild man after they eat!!! Bring on the fall giants.... __________________

Posts: 470 Location: Blaine, MN | I bought his 9' Heavy this spring and hardly put it down while on the water, and I was happy with how it tossed my entire arsenal. Personally I felt the rods worked for all of my applications, and I believe the newest rod will work the same.

Posts: 233 Location: Iowa | Mike, are still going to make your other rod or is this rod going to replace your first series? I have have Mike's first series rod and really like it. Mainly threw double tens on it but would throw just about anything. I though everything from rad dawg spinnerbaits up to mag dawgs on mine. I seen his prototype rod at the minnesota show this last spring and for being 9' long and an extra heavy, i thought it was really light. Looks like I may have to buy another rod this winter. Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | This is an advertisement to sell a product, unsolicited by MuskieFIRST by a company that is not a promotional partner or advertiser with the expressed intent of selling product. Be advised the only reason it is here on the BST board and not deleted entirely is because the category 'sort of' fits a basement manufacturer. As such, the rules of this board apply. Thanks!

| How long is the but end of the handle. If there is at least 18 inches behind the reel seat I'll take one. | |||
