for one of my set-ups im running a reel that doesnt quite seem to fit the reel seat of the rod, under torque while reeling the reel has just enough play in it to wiggle back and forth even though the reel seat "nut" is as snug as it goes

im just wondering if anybody has come across this before and what possible solutions are there

electric tape on both feet of the reel should snug it up.

Take some shrink tubing and put it on the feet of the reel, stays solid and you can do it twice if needed.

Shim it with a thin piece of wood such as a paint mixing stick cut to the reel shoe size. I've done this and it provides a solid mount.
