| I was able to move a couple fish earlier this year on mine. Only ended up getting a 28 incher to eat it though. I was using hard twitches with a pause to take up slack line. Had a real nice one come charging(!) out from under a log on a hard pull only to stop 4 inches short and give me a real lazy follow back to the boat - small high pressure lake probably an educated fish.
Also moved one fish on that bait in Minaki ON last week. Nose to tail follow and could not convert her on the 8.
Personally I think it is a good bait, but it is heavier than a Crane or Big Game and so it is a little more work to throw. You do get a suspending bait for the extra weight, and it still seems to twitch pretty hard and throw off some nice flash. |

Location: Grand Rapids MN | Personally I don't mind the added weight for those windy days. It has a good roll and wobble on the straight retrieve and doesn't have hardly any drag/pull. Hard twitches gets it to walk side to side like the DDD. I found giving it downward twitches while cranking in gives it big belly roll with a slide to the side or up and down. Great way to work the bait fast if that's what you want to do. It trolls well with good action but it can't handle a lot of speed. Maybe 5mph was the max the one I had could handle and it tracked well and swam well. I like DDD better but still a good bait. |
