Location: Blaine, MN | one place I can think of in the metro where you may have a shot is trails end bass pro shop in Fridley, they have a reel smith that works in a small corner of the shop with misc. parts everywhere. hope they can help you out. |

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Or four. Mine went out last season had it replaced. Went out again this year and didn't want to be without it, so I opened it up removed the broken spring parts and put back together. Works fine with no issues of disengaging or reengaging spontaneously so I may never get it replaced. One piece of advice, if it breaks on your reel, do NOT continue using it unless you take the broken spring parts out. If you leave them in there you risk them getting pulled through the gears....NOT GOOD. |

| Wayzata bait does not carry them. Fastest way is sent from Diawa but still do not know if it will be here on time. I did remove the pieces and put it back together just incase I dont get the parts in time |

| How are you guys breaking these springs so much? I've had my reel for over a year and a half and haven't had any problems with it, and it's being used 4 times a month or so. |

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Trails End in Spring Lake Park/Fridley has them on hand. You can order them from mike reel repair. If you order them order a dozen or so and let your friends know.
They break because the spring fatigues, these are saltwater jigging reels not musky casting reels, the lever wasn't designed with for 500 casts a day. Took over a year for mine to go, but it sure sucked when it did.
Solid all around reel with one small but albeit inconvenient quirk.

Never Also when I opened it up to take the spring out the anti-reverse pawl fell out. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put it in right. It is in there now in a way that if I have the drag down tight the handle now wants to turn backwards as well. If anyone is bored or has theirs taken apart I would appreciate a photo of how it supposed to go. [email protected] Thanks!! |
