I bought a used 13 1/2 x 20 Raker prop for my 115 E-TEC. It had some nicks and small dings in it that I cleaned up with a file and some polish. After testing the prop last week I found that it does not perform much better than the aluminum. Can anyone suggest a good place to have it repaired and balanced for a reasonable cost? I tested a new Raker a couple of years ago with the same diameter and pitch with impressive results, but this one isn't even close. The new prop gave me about 4mph over the aluminum with great bow lift and no porpoising. The used prop only gave me .5mph, poor bow lift and it still porpoises. Any help would be appreciated.

Check out D.A.H. Custom Pro-Pellers, they are in Berligton WI. Phone number is 262-534-4440 John or Jeff Janaky. They custom built my prop for a merc 175hp and this prop is very impresive. They also repair damaged props. Very nice people to deal with unlike other prop shops.

I will have to check into D.A.H. My concern is with my original purchase price plus the repair price, that I may have been better off to buy new. Like I said, I tested the new raker and it was great. I hope that I can get this used prop working correctly without spending more than what the new prop would have been. Thank you for the info.
