My season's going pretty darn well. I've been doing pretty good in tourneys-got a 1st place and 2nd place. Fished 2 new bodies of water and caught fish on both-both during tournaments also. I caught my biggest fish out of Kinkaid as well as my new pb up on LOTW-49 7/8. My dad caught his new pb up on LOTW also 47.5, and we had our best year for numbers up on LOTW. The downsides have been when I have been off, I have been waaaayyyy off. Spent 3 days on LOTW without catching any fish-no pike, smallmouth, nothing. That's not to say that I shouldn't have put fish in the boat each of those days, including some really nice fish-I just didn't. I have also had a couple of weekends with absolutely nothing over on Kinkaid. Worst part though has been no muskie fishing down here since May-dunking minnows and chicken livers isn't that exciting.

great june and july but the dreaded month of august is here. always slows down for me this time of year with multiple fish days being the exception rather than the average like earlier in the year. so june-july rate as a 9 w/ a 50" and lots of fish.

as bad as bad can be........have fished alot. multiple days of no sign of a fish...have thought way outside of the box and has not paid off. same for others i fish with? whats up? all i can think of is these fish are buried in the weeds and not moving (conserving energy). maybe in a real funk w/ the high temps. no cowbell bite either, OMG!!

shouldve been perch jerkin for most of the season, or like JOmusky is doing,
lots of salmon! numbers are down, no big fish yet, lost or missed a couple,
hoping things turn around come september. If not, the deer will be getting a little more attention this fall.
Its too hot to sweat right now, let alone drink beers in the baking sun.
id take some ice on the boat seats right about now.

Slow compared to last year. I have yet to even see a big fish much less catch one. I think my numbers are up, but I've put in more hours. Reels keep breaking, rain keeps raining, and I keep feeling burned out.

Way less action overall this season, I've barely had any follows, they just eat. That can be good I guess, but it's nice to at least see a few now and then. My avg is 37" at 10 hours per fish.

Terrible. Very few fish this year. May be because of water temps and this weather, i don't know... but last year it was polar opposite and i blamed it on the weather then too.

Best June I had in years, worst July in years and now shaping up to be a very good August.

Who knows what Spetember and October will bring.

Hopefully, far from over, with some of the best yet to come. Other than that, somewhat good, but came the closest I've ever been to having a monster in the net, only to have it get caught on the net. So that has cast a pretty dark cloud, but the silver lining was the best numbers week I've ever had on LOTW. Now if the water will get below 90* here at home, there will be some hope for the fall.

I just got into musky fishing this year. I went out and spent money on my own tackle and rod because I was hooked after the first follow I had. I still have not caught my first musky, but I have had plenty of follows this year. I have spent about 6 days on the water fishing just for musky with no luck. I know it will eventually change, but I am getting anxious to put the first one in the boat.

Really having a lot of trouble here in MN this year. June was a good month, but since we have been doing terrible. It has to be the higher water temps this year, and we just don't have the experience fishing in these conditions and I think we're fishing way to shallow. Would probably be a good trolling year, but we just keep casting away. Getting into the 50's at night this week, however, so that should start cooling stuff off. Still hopefull for a good fall bite, but right now it's just real tough even getting motivated....makes me want to fish for some easy stuff like catfish and walleye.

Another vote for terrible. Worst year in the past 15 years for my personal productivity here in MN. Like many of you, I'm looking forward to the Fall and better fishing. There's likely to be a lot of us out there trying to salvage our year!

Allot better than last year! But we could sure use a good stable fall, gradual cool down and lasting into the 2nd week of November. A good Indian summer would be nice for a change.

Struggling year. Short feeding windows with no pattern. If you are not out there all the time your guess is as good as mine. Worse year I have had in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though I do some considerable travel to fish elsewhere, my bread and butter place to fish right at home is Pewaukee Lake where I'd be on the water at least twice a week. Last year for me (and every other guy on that lake) most every trip was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the fish were a bit on the skinny side, but boy oh boy were they ever hungry. You sort of began to expect that multiple fish days were to be a ho-hum occurence. Then there was this year. The few fish I caught before the lake began to boil were fat SOB's but very few and far between. Then the lake became unfishable with water temps suitable for boiling eggs. So, for me, the fish I am catching away are the only ones I am getting this year (till the cool-down) and therefore my rating for this season is stinko-crappo!!!! Marty Forman

For Chautauqua, where I live, on a scale of 1-10, I 'd give it a B+, ( smiley face).
