Posts: 40 Location: Elkhorn, WI | Tonight when I got on the lake I noticed the map screen still displayed like I was at the landing. I've tried the obvious things (turning on and off many times and changing screens). I checked the antenna connection and it's tight. When I go to the status page I get three red boxes in the upper right hand corner of the screen that say 2D, 3D, and WAAS. I never saw them in red boxes before. When I got home I turned it on again and it still shows me at the Pewaukee landing. Anyone ever had this happen or know of a fix? Edited by fish hawk 5/21/2010 1:59 PM

Posts: 897 | Are you getting any messages when you fire it up like "GPS module not responding"? I think you're supposed to turn WAAS off, that's something else to try. Last year, I had mine go out and it turned out to be a loose connection at a switch for the GPS puck.

Posts: 40 Location: Elkhorn, WI | Whynot, I'm not getting any message. The lattitude and longitude numbers on the bottom of the screen just flash. The map screen still shows me at the boat launch at Pewaukee Lake even though that is 30 miles away. I just went to the Lowrance website and followed the directions for a soft reset. The unit reset its screen back to Tulsa (just like when it's new) but the lattitude and longitude are still flashing and it doesn't seem to be aquiring the satelites. Did you find the loose switch connection on your or did you have to send it in? Thanks.

My problem wasn't in the unit, it was in the wiring at the power switch for the GPS puck. I found and fixed it myself after trying a new puck. If all of your connections are good and everything is hooked up properly, I'd check the inline fuses next and try a new puck after that.

Hey! Lowrance had a bad batch of GPS pucks. They work for awhile and then just stop recieving. The GPS puck itself has a serial number on the bottom. Lowrance knows witch ones are bad, they just dont know where they are. So, call them and have that number ready. This is the kind of problem that Lowrance should be ahead of. There are alot of people having this problem and they are hiding in the dark until YOU figure it out. Shamfull....... It cost me $100 for a new puck (that about 60% off) but it took me weeks to run this down. My next purchase might not be a Lowrance just because of this. Good Luck
