Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | How did everyone do this weekend? I made it out a few days, just a couple hours at a time. NOTHING to speak of. Not a hit, follow, nothing. Anybody have better luck than I did? curleytail

Posts: 283 | Was out on Saturday for two hours early in the morning before our Wausau West Golf Outing, put a 44 in the net on a Spanky Fireball and lost one other. Sunday was relatively slow. I was out for a few hours with a friend and managed to put two in the boat a 37 and 37.5, also lost a couple other fish. Posts: 661 Location: Roscoe IL | Thanks all, I did make a mistake by measuring the fish out of the water and laying it on the carpet, stupid rookie mistake and I do intend on getting a bump board! Any fish before then will be measured in the water. I had 2 other guy's in the 16' POS Sea Nymph so room was very tight to say the least. I just played guide for my kid and a few guys that have never muskie fished before. I had my boy up in front by me so I didn't get to cast, but I didn't care. I will get my chances in the fall.

Posts: 238 Location: Rhinelander | Great having the kids involved. Always said I would give up my next 10 muskies just to have my son catch one. He's caught a few but they're few and far between. Just turned 9 last week and he doesn't care for it any longer when dad passes him the rod. Wants to do it all on his own from now on. Edited by Hodag Hunter 8/18/2010 9:47 AM
