Muskie Fishing -> General Discussion -> What’s a Henway?

Message Subject: What’s a Henway?

A buddy of mine told me the muskies were really biting on Henways. Of course, if there’s a hot bait I’ve got to get it. Does anybody know what’s a Henway? [:)] [;)] [:p] [:bigsmile:]

I have heard of roostertail spinners. The are very good. So this must be some kind of bucktail then. I’ve searched some of the tackle sites and can’t find anything. Are they custom? My buddy says they had a 10 fish day using them on lake X in Wisco (I thought it was in FL). I’ve never heard of lake Henway though, maybe my buddy was puzzled.

Funny how everyone stoops to anon to reply to this post. LOl

Lol...I just got back on here from a fruitless morning of casting![:(] Anyway I at least got to go...you'll have to find your entertainment elsewhere; starting today I begin a month long study in seriousness....there used to be an Ernest Henway that worked for Tyson but he retired to Fl. awhile back... Henway, Henway? I used to know a guy named Henway once. He was a bit of a glutton. He once ate a whole chicken before going to bed, only to wake up with a Breast in each hand wanting another piece. I wonder if he ever had any thoughts about a hammerfor. As in, what the heck is a hammerfor? Yes we are a strange bunch, we Muskie chasers.

Henway?....isn't that what snipes eat? I recall my first camping trip going out on a snipe hunt. We used Henway's as bait.

After you use your Henway to get your big record muskie you just might need a semiphore. What's a semiphore? Haulin things! Or maybe you could use a hammerphore. What's a hammerphore? Pounding nails!
