  | looking for a small musky lake near hayward to catch a fish or 2. Doesnt matter if there is a lauch just as long as we can carry in or back off the road. Just looking to get relatives new to musky fishing to catch one. Thanks

  | Callahan/Mud would be a great choice. Launch is on Chief River Rd., go down a thoroughfare into Mud lake and Callahan. Great place for action and very scenic. Fish run small but numbers are good. Also some very nice largemouth! |

  | I'd recommend Lost Land/Teal Lakes above the others. They don't have the wood hazards that Moose has, and they don't get as ridiculously weedy as Mud/Callahan.

Lost Land/Teal has a public boat ramp on the north end of Highway A, and they are numbers lakes, with 40" plus fish available. |
