| For anyone who has this rod, how does it toss double 10's / 13's. I am looking for 1 rod to toss both rubber and big bucks. Is this the rod ? If not any suggestions. |

Location: Breezy Point, MN | I have this rod in the Split Grip model, and though I use it primarily for Bull Dawgs, it does throw double tens just fine. St. Croix also offers the "Sling Blade" version, but the action/taper difference between these two rods is not that great. If you want a rod to do both for you, the "Big Dawg" will work just fine. Good luck! |

Location: Kodiak, AK | I also have both rods, and if I could only have one, it'd be the Dawg. It throws 10's really well. |

| You may want to consider the Okuma EVx-C-931H-T. I've been using it for big bucks and rubber lures all summer and have been quite impressed. There is some give in the last 2' of the rod that allows it to throw light stuff as well. |
