Location: On the water | Hello,
I just bought my first trinidad ofcourse for the big blades..
I have one question how do you get the line nice and evenly on the reel I tried guiding it with my fingers but couldn't get it right..
Thanks,

Location: Eagan, MN | I'm surprised nobody has answered this. Basically you need to underfill the spool (how much depends who you ask, figure 1/8" to 1/4"), and you also need to point the rod tip directly at your lure as while you retrieve. Get it right and it will lay down pretty evenly. Try the search feature on this forum for more info. |

Location: N.FIB | I was told that you need to start the line buildup on one side of the reel then build line up on the other side of the reel and then the middle, that way the line will some what naturally go on the spool more evenly.I have never spooled one but this is what I was told by the person I bought mine from. |

| With mine i just used my thumb and fore finger to lay the line evenly back and forth like a level wind.I underspooled it to just a little more than 1/8 inch below the spool lip. When retreiving blades it always bunches a little more line on one side than the other but nothing to bad to cause an issue. |

Location: On the water | Thanks I spooled it today and I got it real tight and packed evenly.
I did it like this:
I put a pen trough the new spool of line and clamped that between my feet and holding the spool on the carpet.
The friction caused the line to lay real tight on the reel.
