Posts: 87 Location: Minnesota Metro | This is the first time I've tried this, but here is a picture of a big muskie a good friend of mine's cousin caught recently up on Wabaskang when walleye fishing. It weighed 37 pounds, but sadly he didn't have a tape long enough to measure it. He estimated it right around 50. Attachments ---------------- wabaskang muskie.JPG (242KB - 211 downloads)

Posts: 87 Location: Minnesota Metro | I've heard fishing for muskies in Wabaskang is kind of like fishing for the lock ness monster, just not many in there. IIRC it's connected with the cedar river system, so there's definately the chance for the fish to get up there. It's a fantastic looking fish and figured everyone might like to see it.

Posts: 131 | 4 years ago we found a 45" muskie floating dead right by the dock at tall pines camp.steve said that there aren't supposed to be any in wabby but that evidently some had gotten in from up above somehow.i've fished there many times for pike and smallies and never encountered any other muskies in any part of the system.

Posts: 87 Location: Minnesota Metro | Just out of curiosity what would you guys estimate the measurements at? I'm by no means an expert, but I'd guess 50-50.5 x about 24 or so, but that's just a very rough estimate for me. There are a lot of people better at that on here than me.
