Whats some of your ideas when it comes to fishing super clear water for muskies? I've been buring showgirls which has been very productive for seeing fish. The temps are in the mid to upper 60s. Any other ideas on trying to triggering more strikes? Thanks

I recommend natural colored gliders like a Manta or Hellhound or weighted Suicks, as I had great luck on these on the Susquehanna River which is as clear as it gets. Black and nickel colored bucktails were good too as were shallow Bulldawgs in walleye or other natural colors. Hope this helps!

In clear water, I like to smack spinner baits off of the weeds and/or structure. Clear water tends to push the fish closer into the weeds and structure and it also allows one to see exactly where your lure is. There is something about making contact with the weeds or structure that can trigger strikes. At the least it really seems to tick Muskies and Pike off when one smacks a lure near them.

So, what I would do is find some nice weeds, trees, or boulders and send down a CJs, Rad Dawg, Grinder or whatever spinner bait you have and smack them out of there.

clear water muskies can be super tought to get to bit down size your lures for cranks try 4 inch Ss shads or 305 cranes in nat finishes. also try crawfish imatators jigs and cranks. also us lighter line or smaller diameter line I have had good luck in super clear water with flourocarbon lines that a super clear.
as for them showing themselves on the inlines try down sizing them to use a 4 to 5 inch spinner and make long casts.
goog luck
