The jointed ones tangle sometimes, so give me a straight model. Brand doesn't matter as long as it's built tough.

Jointed BS Willy but he's not making them commercially anymore. So now I like the ones by monsterlures.net. BillyB has them large and small. Both these lures are made so that they can be worked very slow or at a fast clip when searching for fish - they are tuned that well.

WakeMakers - one of a kind lures with very cool designs and paint jobs. Oh, and they are fish magnets as well . . . that's the best part.

Ryan Jinkerson makes some awesome creepers...(3 at top) BS Willy creepers (next 2 down) and customs have been great as well...you can't go wrong with the old Hi Fin Hawg Buster..(bottom) here are some of the ones I use and can't really say I have a favorite....they all work just a time and place for each....

Joel Wick and rylure both build excellent quality creepers.

+1 on the Wick.

Also the LeLure creepers are vary good. Even the newer China ones have caught many fish for me. Not that creepers catch fish...

Nimmer Swimmers Creepin Pog. Thing is amazingly subtle yet just loud enough to drive the fish crazy.

I just got a kraken and another with a big grub on the back (can't remember the name). If they work better than my original Hi-fin I will be ecstatic. That thing caught tons of fish, but the fins are beat to death and it's time for retirement
I'm worried about my kraken because it's so mechanical. I love night fishing creepers and I know it's going to end up in a tree or skip off a rock.

i stay away from all lures with a welded wire, since i have broken one with my thumb nail.
i feel highly safer with a twisted wire or even a eye screw.so my choice have to be hi-fin and willy.

Have an older Bauer creeping hawg which is a smaller more elegant jointed creeper. It has been productive without tangling, and easy tuning to recommend it. LeLure creepers are usually ok but some are a little heavy and have a tendency to sit down a little too low in the water. Gutsch creepers are good if you can get one, but the wings are lightweight. The current Hi fin model is a good one. I have not used some of the newer builders but I would expect they work too. Make sure they are tuned and getting a nice deep "ponk" and they probably all work well. Creepers are like a fair number of baits in that you need to have confidence in them.

If you haven't used them much, get somebody that really likes them to help you with tuning and sound, it will speed up your good relationship with the bait.

I haven't used one yet but the Miss Creeper by Monster Lures looks interesting. I imagine with the skirt on it, the action is unique and different.

I just picked a tyrant tackle dictator creeper. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it should be good.

The craftsmanship on the Rylures that I have seen are phenomenal. very well made with heavy duty materials.

Another nice creeper for those who want an inexpensive, effective and easy to use creeper is the Freak'n Frog Creeper from Bitten Tackle. my customers have had nothing but great things to say about this bait!

I like alot of them, for different reasons/locations/times. As one of my favorite topwaters for night fishing/throwback, I could talk about them all day, but won't. If I had three creepers, I'd take one of my buddy Ryan Jinkerson's straights or chattertail straights in the standard size, a large jointed Wick, and an old original Lelure Fetch and Catch.
