Posts: 393 Location: Hopefully on the water | I have 2 navionics cards (2008 & 2009). They worked fine last year in the Eagle units. This year I am using Lowrance LMS520C and none of the past waypoints I had on the card are even showing up. The cards did get wet one night. Even before that I did not have any of the waypoints I marked show up on the screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? The 520's also have the 2.5 version upgrade loaded into them.

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Your waypoints will not save to a Navionics card. So, I am guessing your waypoints are still in your Eagle, need to be saved to a blank chip and transferred to the Lowrance. You may have to convert them, but that should work.

Posts: 393 Location: Hopefully on the water | Reefhawg, Thanks for the info. I just e-mailed the guy that bought my boat with all the electronics on it to see If I can meet up with him to transfer my the date on the unit to a blank card. Makes sense and important lesson learned for myself to save that info every now and then.

Location: Green Bay, WI | Not to hijack the thread here, but this is related to Navionics cards... I just got the gold card for Green Bay. There are depth contour markings all over the place, but there are also these little red circles, with a white '-' (dash) symbol, possibly indicative of a minus sign (I am guessing). I haven't gotten a chance to hunt down the answer, but what are these showing? Intuition tells me they indicate a lack of complete data for those areas, but there are depth markings all around them...so I am not sure I fully understand what I am looking at. I used the chip for the first time two days ago, so I am trying to learn the syntax. Thanks, and sorry for the slight variance from the established course of this thread. TB

TB Tom, Here is the reply I got back from our Navionics contact in regards to your question. Those marking are usually no anchorage symbols. They are meant for larger boat traffic and are common where there are large no anchoring areas. Unfortunately, due to the way some plotters display that information there can be a lot of them at times. There is no lack of data, and to the recreational crowd certainly not a “Do Not Enter” scenario. That symbol is more for the larger boat crowd.

Location: Green Bay, WI | Interesting...no anchorage. I would not have guessed that! It makes sense though, because as I mentioned, there are plenty of depth contours right around these symbols. But thanks for checking into that TJ. I appreciate it very much! TB
