Was wondering peoples opinion of the saltist levelwind verses the open front?Which one is better for casting, which do people prefer. Im looking at a 30 series,in the diawa catalog the open face 30 (stt30t)has 36.2''line per handle turn wt.22.9 oz. gear ratio of 4.9:1and 22. max drag, were as the saltist levelwind (sttlw30ha) has 35'' of line per handle turn,wt. of 18.5, gear ratio of 6.1:1, and a 15.4 max drag. Also how does the line stack up on the reel with out the level wind to guide it?

I had both... get the levelwind. Get it get it get it. I traded my 30 TH (no levelwind) after 10 hrs of use. i backlashed about 30% of the time vs 2 or 3 a day with the HA. Trust me, get the levelwind.
