Any thoughts on what or what not effects spawning carp have on Musky patterns. It seems on the lake I fish this time of year when carp are really goin at it the musky fishin just stinks. Lowland reservoir green water and lots of milfoil.

I have this issue in a few areas I fish. The muskies are still there, but you are trying to coax them out of the buffet line. Very tough to compete with, especially with artificials. Fishing always picks back up after the spawn and the carp disperse, so I usually fish elsewhere till the carp are done doing their thing. If you have to fish it, and if legal to do so in your area try quickstriking some carp. Fishing for the bait can be pretty fun too in this situation.
I would also suggest trying to pee them off. Walk the Dog topwater would be my first choice. Something about those that just get fish angry and they have to take a swing at it.
Especially early in the season.
