I have an r70 and I like it. Wish it was bigger but it's a decent ride and can handle 3 footers ok.

I have an R70 also. Its a great little boat. Fit and finish is top notch and it has held up very well. Mine only has a 75hp, but it will do 38+ with two people and gear. I have hit 42 solo. With a 115 expect 50ish. The casting deck on mine makes a huge difference. I would be hesitant to go with the dual console for space reasons. The rod lockers will be useless for anything longer than 6'6", and your not going to have a place to store long rods flat on the deck. It will also be hard to store a net.

My step dad has an R73, great boat for bass fishing. Quickly runs out of space on long day trips, multi day trips or any muskie trips for that matter. On the St. Croix or Tonka locally, I find it to be small enough to scare me a little. Then again, i'm used to my 690, maybe it's just relative.
