In researching gear for a new boat next year, I just learned that Honda is now making a 175? Interesting!

The problem is that it appears to be a version of their V6 200/225 series, and it has the 599-pound weight to prove it. Wow--more than 100 pounds heavier than the Suzuki 175, and more than 85 pounds heavier than the Verado 175. Still, given that it appears to be the same block as the 200/225 engines, it doesn't like it will be overworked at all. And I'll bet it's smooth as silk, being a V6 and all.

Anyone see these yet?

Well, I found out on another forum that these engines are for the overseas market, apparently. So I don't think they are available in the US. I don't know that I'd be interested in a 175hp V6 anyway, given the weight. But I was just surprised to see this product from Honda, when I'd never heard of it before.
