| My nephew just returned from the NWA resort and he has a grin on his face that I fear is permanent-) While there he went out with 24 other guys who all work for one company and he came back with the trophy fish of the week-got the cash prize and the fishing equipment. Largest walleye I've ever caught in y 20+ years in MN was a 6 lber. My nephews walleye weighed in at 10lbs 9 oz! I believe there are pictures up on the website of his fish.Amazing. Glad he threw it back cuz I'm coming up there in a few weeks and would love to hook that lunker myself! My family lived on Nisswa Lake, part of the Gull Lake chain, for many years. I live in IN now but am returning to MN in retirement hopefully. I miss it a great deal-get so homesick for the pines and the water/fishing. I'm the only person I know down here who owns a CD of Loons calling across the lake on my nitestand!
Anyone here ever stayed at the Wigwam Resort up in the NWA area? We're exploring different options for the coming years. I've got my Dad's old maps that marked up real good when he and mom mom went fishing up there over 15+years. Hope to use them in conjunction with newer maps. He put depths, type fish caught, structures etc.
Good fishin

| I would be happy just to break my personal record. I caught a 24" last year on Vermilion, a 25" on Leech a month ago, and would be plenty happy catching a 26" and a heap of others whilst fishing the NW Angle.
Do those Gulp pumpkinseed nightcrawlers work on a spinnig harness?
A 10lb+ waldo, now that would be fun! Might have to mount that sucker. With three of us in the 16" crestliner, i think a lof of samllie/waldo fishing will be taking place.
Is there good smallmouth fishing around the Oak Island area? |

| My vote is for the Angle Outpost, we've fished out of there for about 8 years, and always get big muskie to the boat. Great host and hostess Dave and Jessica, great cabins, great marina, fish cleaning house for the walleye driving up with your own car and trailer, border is not that far away if you really need some. |

| Thanks for the vote. It is a close race right now! I think the island adventure sounds fun, and has the lead over the Outpost. Rates are cheaper too. |
