Reelman, I guess what confused me was that I had put PP on several other reels and the other new reel I bought last year was spooled with PP by Rollie and Helens. While I had some of the green coloring and wax come off when new with each of them, it was nothing like the package of PP I bought last spring. That stuff was just awful, to the point it gummed up the level wind on a reel with less than 4 hours on it. I wondered if they had a glitch in manufacturing and way over did the coating. I do know it will be the last spool of PP I buy.
