| There is a lot of talk on lake link about sucker fishing. Anybody know where to go in the Milwaukee area. |

Location: West Bend, WI | Any stretch of the milwaukee river has a lot of suckers and carp in it. I take the kids, it is a hoot. From Kewaskum all the way downtown. I would imagine any river would have them. Put a nightcrawler on a hook, add some weight and cast it out. Let it sit and wait. They'll find it. It sure is fun. |

Location: Racine, Wi | The Root River in Racine and Pike River in Kenosha also have a ton of suckers. Right around Easter there were a TON in the river. I took the kids down to look at the 'bows at the wier on the Root and there were some huuuuuge suckers mixed in with them. Saw lots of guys hooking into the suckers as well.
Try some spawn sacks for them outside of crawlers. They'll eat those as well (as slamer can attest to ) |

| Sorry for my ignorance but is there a particular type of water to target? i.e. slack, current, deep, or shallow? |

Location: Racine, Wi | I haven't fished for them in a while, but this time of year, typically they are holding in the faster current or just below. Tougher to get them in the faster current though, so you can drift your baits or let them sit on the bottom in the faster stuff, or float it just below in the pool below the riffle. |

Location: West Bend, WI | What I do is put some splitshot about 12 inches in front of the hook. Throw a crawler on and cast it out. I then set the rod down. The crawler will move in the current. When the line becomes taunt watch it. I then fire up the little smokey and get the brats ready. Watch the tip of your rod, when it bounces hammer the rod. It is the ultimate lazy man fishing. Lot of fun though. I do this every spring..
