Posts: 351 | Your work is among that stuff I always look forward to seeing on the net. Great work as usual, and the way you worked the foil beneath the paint is just beautiful. The top bait really pops. I haven't tried pink as a primary color on a bait, but I'd like to some day. Yours appears to have a silvery pearl overlay and it compliments the color scheme very well.

Posts: 76 | Very nice. I am really interested in the different orientation of the line tie. This is first time I have seen anyone use a horizontal position. Which do you prefer? Don

Posts: 34 Location: OHIO | Thanks everyone and thank you Fatfingers, very much.. Here is a pic of what some of the foil patterns I used looks like as it was hard to tell in my poor quality photos.. This is a 8.5x11 sheet of cover stock purchased at a local fabric store.. It doesnt look likr much in my poor lure pics but it really stands out with lure in hand. The strawberry coloring is pearl red with a light coating of pearl white, then I scaled with a 50/50 mix of pearl white/pearl silver w/a drop of pearl red in the mixture.. It came out w/a nice mullet appearance.. Its a killer for pike.. Hoosier,.. If you do a thru-wire on metal lip plugs for salt or like on the old CCBCo pikies, the tie ends up horizontal to fit in the metal lip slot.. It can then be bent up or down to change lure running depth, & it seems to make every lure swim pefectly straight too.. I seen many guys use a horizontal tie on glider baits too.. These lures I posted are extremely slow sinking, susspending, and/or floaters that ascend back to the surface at a very slow rate.. You can crank all of these down 8-10 feet and they basically stay there, to be jerked,.. I've noticed no swim action difference when used as a crankbait, vertical/horizontal, if anything, in my opinion, the H is better thsn the V...But thats One Fools opinion..LoL Thanks again for all the positive comments, greatly appreciated..
